The Surprising performance of a BSNL ADSL Modem
I have been using the same modem for about a year now, and for the past few days since I got my unlimited data transfer internet connection, I am surprised at the work that it is doing. Im downloading all sorts of stuff, and my computer is plugged to a 2 hour backup power supply as well, and Pondicherry not being a very bad place wehre power goes down for over 2 hours at a streatch, the computer and the modem have literally been running for over 2 months at a streatch now since july 1st when my plan changed to unlimited 512 kbps from 2 Mbps limited.
If you are outside India, you might laugh at this cos probably you might be on a 10 Mbps connection while reading this, but in India owning a 512 Kbps connection is like owning a Rolls Royce. I sit before this computer for about 6 hours a day, and therefore the AC runs here for 6 hours a day, and for the remaining 18 hours, the door is locked, and so are all windows, and the heat is almost unbearable when I enter the room in the evening after office. No AC, no ventilation, and all the heat that is released by the cpu and the modem have no means of getting out of the room.
Well, anyways, I am quite happy with the performance of the modem, as I know that the computer has to perform, after all it is a server quality cpu that I have got, and the monitor is always turned off, as I use it only when I am working on the PC. The modem is working in its full effecienty round the clock for the past 2 months, during which time it has not been turned off even once, and BSNL too has been able to supply data all this while (i think i am sure that there has been no downtime or anything), though at the office it is a different story.
Blogger to WordPress
The one thing that google could not beat was bloggers. Though it has created the page rank strategy, which is something that assigns a rank to the quality of the blog, its popular website blogger.com is not very popular these days. Only loosers who dont know how to create a blog and stuff usually go to blogger.com, and wiser people like me stick to wordpress scripts hosted by oneself. I dotn go to wordpress.com, but I download the scripts from wordpress.org, and have it hosted on my own server pointed by own domain.
Well, Mymo.in is a multiuser blog just like wordpress.com where people can actually come over and signup for their own blogs. What did you think I am doing in Pondicherry? Just sitting around and taking massage therapy all the while? I am contributing a good amount to blogging myself, and helping people to get their own blogs in different domains than the boring so called popular ones.

Uncyclopedia is a website that is a parody of wikipedia, and it makes everything sound funny. And the page that it had on ebay made me laugh my intestines out. Well, ebay is a website where you could find allsorts of rubbish, to stuff that is of very high value that could make excellent personalized gifts such as rare coins, stamps, currency notes and stuff.
Ebay is a place where regular sellers sell things such as home appliances, electronics, apparels, gadgets and stuff. And occassional sellers who want to sell of their used things would choose ebay too.
To bring up a dog
People get puppies just for the fun of watching them grow. Atleast because their kids prefer to play with real puppies rather than teddy bears. Women like to play with their pussies. Pussy Cats I mean, what did you think. Boys are more fond of bull dogs and stuff.

A limitation in Power

Smoking is banned in my office, and though I am allowed it, I don't intend to break it. So I go to a near by shop that sells cigarettes for a smoke. The shop keeper is really talkative. He can talk about anything. Though he has a very low social status, he is well updated from the news papers, and can always talk about almost everything.
I rarely go there alone, but since today the office was minimally staffed, and I am the only head in the office today, I had to go there alone. The shopkeeper took up the subject of dirty open drainage and mosquitos. He kept on talking and talking and talking, that I forgot what the work was that I left behind in the office.
I was hoping to recommend that he buy a computer, though I know that he will not be able to afford it, and write all the stuff that he talks to the people who he manages to corner. Thats what a blog is about. Write about the things you talk to one or 2 people, and the whole world will read about it.
